Baron Community Mourns The Loss Of Recent Grad

It is with heavy hearts that we bring the news of the passing of William Kyle ‘23. Will passed Tuesday night after suffering injuries from a car accident. Our deepest condolences go out to the Kyle family and all whose lives were touched by this wonderful young man.

Will came to Blue Ridge School as a mid-year student and quickly became a part of the campus community. He was well known for his great height, but that is not what defined him. As a quiet student, Will found his voice once he entered into his art studies. He masterfully finished his assigned projects and quickly moved on to create more pieces to express himself. This work was rewarded at graduation this past spring as his art instructor, Mr. Welty, presented him with the art award.

Will excelled in sports and was part of the Blue Ridge basketball, tennis, and soccer teams. He was friends with many of our international students and leaves a genuinely positive impact on our campus and all in our community.

A service will be held on Saturday at 5:00 PM in Memorial Hall at JMU in Harrisonburg, VA. This post will be updated as more information is provided.
